The project involves painters working directly on building facades near the intersection with Portage Path, with daily open studio sessions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through July 20. Performances at the Akron Civic Theatre

Down on South Main Street, the Akron Civic Theatre has scheduled three additional evenings of live music this month tied to the same exhibition theme. Tickets went on sale July 5 at $18 for general admission and $12 for students, with the first show set for July 12 featuring the Akron Symphony's string quartet. Last year's comparable series drew 4,800 attendees across six nights, according to the theatre's public records.
